Crafted at Origin: Where Skill Meets the Leaf
Established in 2007 in Nepaltar, Ilam, our factory adapts every step of the process to the character of each leaf.
Where Skill Meets the Leaf
Every tea has its own personality.
A delicate spring bud requires a different approach from a full-bodied orthodox black tea. Green tea demands careful control of heat, while specialty teas require precise attention to withering, rolling, oxidation, and drying.
Our tea makers therefore adapt the process to the leaf rather than forcing every tea through the same production method.
Selective Plucking
Only the right shoots are chosen for each tea.
Withering
Fresh leaf loses moisture and becomes soft and pliable.
Rolling & Shaping
The leaf is rolled and shaped to release its character and define its appearance.
Controlled Oxidation
Oxidation is guided to the level each tea requires.
Drying & Firing
Heat fixes the tea and locks in its aroma.
Sorting & Grading
Leaf is sorted by size and appearance into grades.
Quality Evaluation
Each batch is assessed for aroma, flavor, and appearance.
Careful Packaging
Packed with care to protect freshness on the way to your cup.
The objective is to preserve what makes the leaf special while developing the desired aroma, flavor, appearance, and structure.
A Season Worth Waiting For
Spring is one of the most important moments of the tea year.
From approximately April to June, the first young shoots emerge after the winter season. These tender leaves and buds are carefully harvested and transformed into some of our most distinctive specialty teas.
Our high-altitude environment and slower growth contribute to leaves with a greater concentration of aroma, sweetness, and character. Grown in the hills of Ilam, the young shoots develop gradually, and that patience is reflected in the cup.
Because the harvest is limited, first flush teas are made in small quantities, and each batch reflects the season in which it was picked.
Fresh, delicate, and full of spring, the first flush is the tea year at its most expressive.
Sustainable Himalayan Engineering
Our processing plant operates with 100% renewable rooftop solar energy. All organic tea leaf residue is composted into nitrogen-rich bio-fertilizer returned directly to our mountain soil.
